Empire State Cup Standings as of the End of December 12, 2010

There are five AHL clubs in New York State, the most of any state in the league.  Those five teams vying for the 2010-11 Empire State Cup are: Adirondack Phantoms (Philadelphia Flyers), Albany Devils (New Jersey Devils), Binghamton Senators (Ottawa Senators), Rochester Americans (Florida Panthers) and Syracuse Crunch (Anaheim Ducks).  The records below indicate the head-to-head standings between the five thus far this season. 

Most Recent Update: December 12, 2010 @ Rochester: Binghamton Senators 6 Rochester Americans 5 on a shootout goal by Kaspars Daugavins.  For the second time in as many nights the Senators and Americans capped off a home-in-home weekend with a shootout as both squads split the weekend series.  Binghamton records its first win against the Amerks on the year and is 1-1-0-1 against Rochester.  Meanwhie, Rochester picks up another point with the shootout loss their season series lead over Binghamton at 2-0-0-1.    Rochester continues to add to their Empire State Cup Standings lead with 15 points, while Binghamton picks up its 13th.  As a result the Sens jump ahead of the Devils into second place in the Empire Cup Standings. 

1.)7-2-0-1 (15 points).

2.) 6-3-0-1 (13 points).

3.) 6-5-0-0 (12 points).

4.) 3-5-1-0 (7 points).

5.)  2-7-0-1 (5 points).
