Empire State Cup Standings Games Ending December 26, 2010

There are five AHL clubs in New York State, the most of any state in the league.  Those five teams vying for the 2010-11 Empire State Cup are: Adirondack Phantoms (Philadelphia Flyers), Albany Devils (New Jersey Devils), Binghamton Senators (Ottawa Senators), Rochester Americans (Florida Panthers) and Syracuse Crunch (Anaheim Ducks).  The records below indicate the head-to-head standings between the five thus far this season.

Most Recent Update: December 26, 2010 @ Rochester: Rochester Americans 5 Syracuse Crunch 2.  Jacob Markstrom’s 43 saves for the Amerks helped Rochester to a 5-2 win over the Crunch.  @ Binghamton: Binghamton Senators 7 Adirondack Phantoms 1.  A four goal first, including two from Zack Smith led the onslaught of the Phantoms 7-1.

Hence after tonight’s action the B-Sens and Amerks gain in the Empire State Cup Standings, but as far as placement goes… the song remains the same.

1.) 9-3-0-1 (19 points).

2.)8-3-0-1 (17 points).

3.) 6-5-0-0 (12 points).

4.) 3-6-1-0 (7 points).

5.)  2-9-0-1 (5 points).
