Empire State Cup Standings Games Ending January 19, 2011
There are five AHL clubs in New York State, the most of any state in the league. Those five teams vying for the 2010-11 Empire State Cup are: Adirondack Phantoms (Philadelphia Flyers), Albany Devils (New Jersey Devils), Binghamton Senators (Ottawa Senators), Rochester Americans (Florida Panthers) and Syracuse Crunch (Anaheim Ducks). The records below indicate the head-to-head standings between the five thus far this season.
Most Recent Update: January 19, 2011 @ Albany: Binghamton Senators 3 Albany Devils 0. In a game marred with numerous questionable penalties the Binghamton Senators blanked the Albany Devils by a count of 3-0. Bingo got on the board early in the first with Roman Wick’s fifth goal past keeper Mike McKenna. Mid-way through the first the B-Sens cashed in on one of those extra-man opportunities off the stick of Geoff Kinrade for his fourth. Finally in the second Binghamton Captain Ryan Keller capped off the scoring with his 16th. The Senators had another goal waived off in the second as well. Bingo backstop Barry Brust stoned all 26 Devils shots sent his way for the shutout win.
5.) 5-13-0-1 (11 points).
