In Rinkside Rewind, break up the New Jersey Devils. Former Albany River Rats star Patrik Elias posted two goals including the winner as the Devils took down the hated Philadelphia Flyers 3-1. Elias now has 12 on the year for the Devils who have now won three in a row. Another former River Rat Brian Rolston assisted on both goals as well. Albany Devil Mark Fayne also picked up a helper. Henrik Tallinder also had a goal and an assist on the afternoon for New Jersey.
In Colorado the Boston Bruins slammed the Colorado Avalanche 6-2. Mark Recchi had a goal and two assists. Milan Lucic picked up a pair of markers. Additionally Brad Marchand had a four point night with two goals and two helpers. Former Avs and Rats defenseman Johnny Boychuk also added an assist on the night, his eighth. Former Rats forward Chris Stewart picked up his 16th assist in the loss for Colorado. Yet another former River Rat Cody McLeod was involved in a scrap for the Avalanche.
Paced by goals from Wojtek Wolski and Brian Boyle and another shootout winner from Mats Zuccarello the New York Rangers one-upped the Atlanta Thrashers 3-2.
In Pittsburgh one-time Albany River Rat Jiri Tlusty had an assist but the Carolina Hurricanes were downed by the Penguins 3-2.
Out in Vancouver, former River Rats sniper Brendan Morrison registered his seventh goal of the year on the power-play for the Calgary Flames in their 4-3 shootout victory over the Canucks.

Patrick Davis and Adam Henrique scored for the Albany Devils but they were smoked by the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins 6-2.
Former RPI standout Jerry D’Amigo posted his fifth goal of the year as the Toronto Marlies blanked the Peoria Rivermen 4-0.
Stefan Legin, J.P. Testwuide and Eric Wellwood all scored for the Adirondack Phantoms, though they dropped a 4-3 shootout decision to the Hamilton Bulldogs.
Former River Rats Captain Keith Aucoin posted his 12th goal of the year and had two assists as the Hershey Bears crushed the Rochester Americans by a count of 5-1.
Former Rat and RPI standout Kirk MacDonald recorded an assist in the Providence Bruins 5-2 loss at the hands of the Portland Pirates.
Ex-Rat Dan DaSilva’s ninth goal of the season wasn’t enough for the Worcester Sharks as they fell to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers 6-3.
One-time Rat Stefan Chaput picked up his third tally of the year as the Syracuse Crunch edged the Norfolk Admirals 3-2.
Former Rats Jamie Johnson and Chris Minard picked up assists for Grand Rapids in a 5-3 loss to Chicago.
