Empire State Cup Standings Games Ending January 26, 2011

There are five AHL clubs in New York State, the most of any state in the league.  Those five teams vying for the 2010-11 Empire State Cup are: Adirondack Phantoms (Philadelphia Flyers), Albany Devils (New Jersey Devils), Binghamton Senators (Ottawa Senators), Rochester Americans (Florida Panthers) and Syracuse Crunch (Anaheim Ducks).  The records below indicate the head-to-head standings between the five thus far this season.

Most Recent Update: January 26 , 2011  @ Adirondack.  Up in Glens Falls the Adirondack Phantoms topped the Binghamton Senators 4-3 with a late rally in the third.  Goals from Andrew Rowe and the winner from Luke Pither helped Adirondack take a back and forth affair.  In the early going Rob Bordson’s markers gave the Phantoms a 2-1 advantage heading into the locker room.

In the second David Dziurzynski squared things for the Sens at 2-2.

Early in the third Binghamton’s All-Star forward Corey Locke gave the Sens their first lead with his 16th.  But as mentioned above Adirondack would stage a comeback for its 14th win and 33 points on the year.

1.) 12-6-0-1 (25 points).

2.)9-6-0-2 (20 points).

3.) 9-6-1-0 (19 points).

4.) 9-8-0-1 (19 points).

5.)  5-14-0-1 (11 points).
