Around The “A”

With the NHL getting set for the All-Star weekend in Raleigh, NC, many AHL rosters will surely be bolstered this weekend as well.  That includes the Albany Devils who have added Mattias Tedenby, Nick Palmieri, Vladimir Zharkov and Mark Fraser from the New Jersey Devils.  If you didn’t get to see Tedenby early in the season, he is well worth the price of admission folks.

A light night in the AHL saw the Lake Erie Monsters edge the Hamilton Bulldogs 2-1 in Hamilton.  Former Albany River Rats and Adirondack Phantoms netminder John Grahame stopped 25 of 26 shots for the victory.

The only other action on the slate had the Hershey Bears hold off the Springfield Falcons 4-3 in Hershey.  Former Albany River Rats Captain Keith Aucoin registered two helpers for the winning Bears.
