Empire State Cup Standings Games Ending February 4, 2011
There are five AHL clubs in New York State, the most of any state in the league. Those five teams vying for the 2010-11 Empire State Cup are: Adirondack Phantoms (Philadelphia Flyers), Albany Devils (New Jersey Devils), Binghamton Senators (Ottawa Senators), Rochester Americans (Florida Panthers) and Syracuse Crunch (Anaheim Ducks). The records below indicate the head-to-head standings between the five thus far this season.
Most Recent Update: February 4, 2011 @ Adirondack: Well they finally did it, the Syracuse Crunch bashed and blanked the Adirondack Phantoms 5-0. The Phantoms were burned by former Adirondack forward Patrick Maroon who netted two power-play goals (13, 14) including the winner in the first for Syracuse. Others with big nights for the Crunch were goaltender Jean-Philippe Levasseur who stopped all 31 shots for the shutout. Kyle Palmieri added a goal and two assists. Nate Guenin had three helpers and Josh Green added two assists for the Crunch. Syracuse was three of six on the power-play, Adirondack went zero for eight with the extra man advantage.
